It's a good thing Jake and I don't have too much of a plan as once we got to the Cial bus stop in Ica the local bus guide informed us that the workers were striking on the road to Arequipa or there was a lot of work going on ( my limited Spanish and his limited English that was all I could get). Instead of staying the night in Ica and hoping the roads were cleared the next night we changed our ticket to Cusco for an extra 20 soles each (around $8 Australian each). It also
meant a first class cama seat or fully reclining seat. I don't know if this is a good thing getting used to fully reclining seats with food service and more space then a first class flight at the beginning of our trip though. 15 hours to go and we shall see how it turns out.
