It's a rainy Saturday afternoon and I should be trying to tick of some of the many items on our 'Things to do before we leave list' but it's Australia Day so I figured I would write an Australian post and share some of our aussie adventures so far.
Jake has been here almost two years now and I have been here 18 months which is way longer then I was ever planning but Australia has been really good to us. She has provided us with the opportunities to make our travel dreams a reality. Although home will always be NZ, I have grown to really appreciate 'Straya.
Last night I was editing some of our photos and it made me realise how much we have seen and done while we have lived here as well as how lucky we are to have met some amazing people to share these adventures with.

Above was our first camping trip in Australia and was also the first time I had seen a Kangaroo not in captive. Was actually quite terrifying as we were pulling up to our camping spot and this huge roo came out of nowhere and stood in front of the car staring us down. Eventually the roo either decided we were alright or got bored of 'scare the new campers' game and bounced away.
Although we are having a very quiet Australia Day this year, last year was the complete opposite with blow up jandals, giant slippery slides, snags on the barbie, plenty of beer and triple Js hottest 100 blasting.
